restoration of antique furniture. These include: Traditional French Polishing;
Wax finishes; Skilled staining and matching techniques (either after cleaning
or, in more serious cases, after complete removal of original finishes);
Cleaning and/or polishing of furniture which has not suffered undue deterioration;
Veneer work undertaken using our large and varied stock of antique timber
ensuring the best possible repair to damaged areas; Replacement of all types
of leathers and baize in desks, bureaux and card tables; Specialist repair
of chair frames ranging from resetting loose joints to replacement of damaged
or missing parts; Reconstruction of broken or damaged carved wood; Construction
of complete copies of chairs to complete a set; Replacement of worn drawer
runners to ensure smooth running drawers; Traditional upholstery provided;
Provision of cabinet fittings where necessary, eg. handles, locks, escucheons,
hinges, knobs, inlays, banding, (possibly including antique or custom made
